The challenge
Shift handoffs relied on verbal updates and spreadsheet edits that frequently overwrote each other, leading to scheduling conflicts on the floor.
The approach
Built a Vue 3 frontend backed by a Spring Boot API, giving each shift a live view of the schedule with role-based edit permissions and a full change history.
The outcome
Shift handoffs moved to a single shared system, and scheduling conflicts dropped to a rare exception rather than a weekly occurrence.
